Sam First welcomes back Kyle Poole, the incredibly swinging drummer who can be heard driving the bands led by Cecile McLorin Salvant, Emmet Cohen and Wynton Marsalis. Band performs one set at 7:30 followed by a jam session from 9:00-11:00pm. - Jam session participants use code SAM1JAM.

"Tuesday Happenings" is a weekly series on Tuesday nights, curated by iconic pianist and friend of Sam First, Gerald Clayton. The house band performs one set at 7:30pm which is immediately followed by a jam session from 9:00-11:00pm. Clayton is out of town for this performance, but has arranged for drummer, Kyle Poole to lead in his place!
With over a decade in the heart of New York’s vibrant jazz scene, Kyle Poole recently returned to his roots, bringing his rhythmic prowess back to LA. Throughout his illustrious career, Kyle has shared stages with luminaries like Wynton Marsalis, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Emmet Cohen.
