"Tuesday Happenings" is a weekly series on Tuesday nights, curated by iconic pianist and friend of Sam First, Gerald Clayton. Clayton is out of town for this performance but bassist Ben Williams will be filling in for him! The house band performs one set at 7:30pm which is immediately followed by a jam session from 9:00-11:00pm.

Bassist, bandleader, performer, music educator, and composer Ben Williams has performed with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, George Benson, Pat Metheny, David Sanborn, Chaka Kahn, Herbie Hancock, Pharrell, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terence Blanchard, Roy Hargrove, Benny Golson, and Stefon Harris. The winner of the 2009 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Bass Competition has released 3 albums under his own name and has played on dozens of others by artists that include Pat Metheny, Eric Reed, Jacky Terrasson and Regina Carter.
