The Dan Rosenboom Quintet

Iconoclastic trumpeter/composer Dan Rosenboom returns to Sam First with world-class quintet featuring some of Los Angeles’s most exciting musicians. For nearly two decades, Rosenboom has been a fixture in the Los Angeles creative music landscape, presenting a multitude of dynamic projects and a wide-ranging aesthetic vision. Through his label Orenda Records, he has supported nearly 100 releases, and has helped galvanize a scene of boundary-pushing creative artists. Fresh out of the studio, this new quintet featuring Gavin Templeton (saxophones), John Escreet (piano/keys) Billy Mohler (bass), and Damion Reid (drums),  presents powerhouse renditions of Rosenboom’s compositions as well as expansive improvisational exploration.
