Jon Mayer Trio

Jon Mayer's trio has been together for years, so it’s tight knit.  The newest member, Will Lyle, joined four years ago. He’s an astounding young man with great jazz instincts, who will be coming from NYC to play this gig. He is a Ron Carter protege at Manhattan School of Music. Mayer and drummer, Roy McCurdy both come from NY, sharing the forward leaning sensibilities of east coast bop and post bop. They will cover compositions from a variety of classic player/composers. Some Great American Songbook material will be carefully curated as well. And then there will be a few Jon Mayer originals thrown in the mix.
