Holophonor Quartet

Originally a septet, Holophonor comprises the class of 2012 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Studies at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, where they were mentored by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Billy Childs among many others. The group has two albums to their credit, their self-titled first release, Holophonor and their sophomore release Light Magnet, which was produced by the group's mentor Wayne Shorter.

The "Holophonor Quartet" features saxophonist Josh Johnson, pianist Miro Sprague, bassist David Robaire and drummer Jonathan Pinson, each of whom has made a substantial impact on today's creative music scene. These musicians have spent countless hours performing and traveling the world together, creating a bond that allows them to continuously push boundaries.
