Hekselman, the winner of Downbeat's 'rising star guitarist' category, has released 9 records as a bandleader. He extensively tours the world with his band, and has performed as a sideman with artists such as Ben Wendel, Eric Harland, Ari Hoenig, Esperanza Spalding, Mark Turner, Aaron Parks, Anat Cohen and many others. He will be celebrating the release of his 10th record, Far Star (Edition Records), at the legendary Village Vanguard for a week in March 2022. Hekselman continues to be one of the most influential voices of modern jazz guitar.
