“Tuesday Happenings”: Hosted by Jonathan Pinson with Yakiv Tsvietinskyi, Andrew Renfroe & Jonathan Richards
Jonathan Pinson, one of LA's most versatile drummers and first call for everyone from Mark Turner to Tigran Hamasyan, leads the "Happenings". House band performs one set at 7:30pm followed by a jam session from 9:30-11pm.

"Tuesday Happenings" is a weekly series on Tuesday nights, curated by iconic pianist and friend of Sam First, Gerald Clayton. The house band performs one set at 7:30pm which is immediately followed by a jam session from 9:00-11:00pm. Clayton is out of town for this performance and has arranged for drummer Jonathan Pinson to lead in his place!
Jonathan Pinson began his love affair with the drum set at the age of two when he was surrounded by the music of his mother’s choir. His formal music training began at the age of six with instruction on the piano. Shortly after, Jonathan transitioned to the drum set at the Colburn School of Performing Arts and studied with Billy Higgins from The World Stage.
While in high school, Jonathan performed professionally at various jazz clubs around the Los Angeles…
