Los Angeles-based Marlon Martinez is a versatile bassist and composer known for his dynamic presence in both jazz and classical music. A protégé of Stanley Clarke and student of Ron Carter, Marlon has performed with artists ranging from Stewart Copeland and Ravi Coltrane to Quatuor Ebène and Gustavo Dudamel. He leads the Marlonius Jazz Orchestra and has recorded for major artists like Seth MacFarlane and Justin Hurwitz. Notable credits include performances at the Blue Note New York, Verbier Festival, and Long Beach Opera, as well as his acclaimed tribute project to jazz legend Billy Strayhorn.
Los Angeles-native Jake Chapman is a vibraphonist, pianist, composer, and songwriter. He holds a BA in music and computer science from Columbia University, and studied jazz vibraphone at Juilliard as well as musical theatre songwriting in the BMI…
