Peter Erskine / Alan Pasqua / Darek Oles

Known for his love of working in different musical contexts, Peter Erskine has been the backbone behind Weather Report, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall, The Brecker Brothers, Pat Metheny and so many others. A two-time GRAMMY-winner and recipient of an honorary doctorate degree from the Berklee College of Music, Erskine has appeared on over 700 albums and film scores to date. He is the author of several books as well as educational apps, and has run his own record label for the past two decades.

Alan Pasqua, Steinway Piano Artist and Professor of Jazz Studies at USC Thornton School of Music, has played and recorded with Jack Dejohnette, Paul Motion, Dave Holland, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker and Joe Henderson to name a few. While performing a concert at Carnegie Hall in 1975, Pasqua met the legendary drummer Tony Williams. Pasqua was asked to join The New Tony Williams Lifetime along with guitarist Allan Holdsworth. After recording two “Lifetime” albums for Columbia Records, Pasqua relocated in Los Angeles where he has remained one of the most sought-after pianists for jazz, rock and pop genres.

Darek Oles has been one of the most sought after bass players on the West Coast. A partial list of his collaborations include: Brad Mehldau, Billy Higgins, Pat Metheny, Joe Lovano, Eddie Henderson, Charles Lloyd, John Abercrombie, Bennie Maupin, Lee Konitz. With these and many others artists Oles has recorded approximately 100 albums and performed hundreds of concerts throughout America, Europe and Asia. Several of those recordings were nominated for Grammy Awards.
