Marta Sánchez’s trio will be presenting the music from their new CD, Perpetual Void, which was released earlier this year. The CD was recorded with Chris Tordini on bass and Savannah Harris on drums, but for this occasion, the great Eliza Salem will be stepping in on drums.  Having earned acclaim from reputable sources like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, DownBeat, and NPR—notably, The New York Times selected two of her records as among the 10 best of the year in 2015 and 2019—Sanchez has shifted to a trio setting after four quintet albums, offering more room for spontaneous interplay.  In this trio, there is space for open improvisation alongside structured form and harmony, blending complexity with simplicity and finding beauty within it all. The trio's focus is on creating a balanced, immersive musical experience, emphasizing collaboration and the unique strengths of each musician.  The record has received excellent reviews, including four and a half stars in DownBeat and praise from many other critics.
