Exploratory vibraphonist and composer Nick Mancini heads up a vibrant and cutting-edge trio for a special Birthday performance at LA’s newest dedicated jazz club, Sam First. A program comprised primarily of Mancini’s original compositions, along with a couple of choice jazz standards, creates the fertile soil from which spontaneous, unfettered, and incisive arrangements continually spring forth; all the while done with the energy and enigmatic flare indicative of a “Mancini” performance.
