Joe LaBarbera and Kevin van den Elzen will pay homage to the legendary Shelly Manne, one of the most creative jazz drummers of his generation. LaBarbera and Van den Elzen will play pieces from Shelly’s quintet with some of the best young musicians in the LA jazz scene.

Joe LaBarbera and Kevin van den Elzen will pay hommage to the legendary Shelly Manne. Manne was one of the most creative jazz drummers of his generation who played with Bill Evans, Henry Mancini, Hank Jones, Neal Hefti, Ornette Coleman and his own band. LaBarbera and Van den Elzen will play pieces from Shelly’s quintet with some of the best young musicians in the LA jazz scene.
