Kevin Kanner Quintet

Kevin Kanner is a Los Angeles native and a seasoned jazz veteran whose pedigree is as pure as his resume. He got his start under the mentorship of the great Jeff Hamilton, one of a very select group of students Jeff has chosen to take on over the years. While many drummers of his generation try to expand the role of the drums in jazz and cross-breed jazz with other genres, Kevin’s musical ambition has remained simple and singular: to swing. This dyed-in-the-wool identity has become his calling card and is the reason he has been consistently sought after by and performed with so many jazz greats including Harry Allen, Bill Holman, Eric Reed, Benny Green, John and Gerald Clayton, and John and Bucky Pizzarelli, as well as Bob Cranshaw and Benny Golson, and Gilbert Castellanos.
