Pianist Shelly Berg, a five-time GRAMMY nominee and Steinway Artist, brings his acclaimed trio to Sam First. Joined by bassist Carlitos Del Puerto and drummer Gary Novak, Berg presents music marked by virtuosity, emotional depth, and masterful interplay.

A treasured musician known for his deep artistry, pianist Shelly Berg is a 5x-Grammy nominee and Steinway piano artist whose latest jazz trio album “Alegría” ("joy” in Spanish), and hailed as an “instant jazz classic” by Modern Drummer, reflects an arc of universal emotions woven in rich musical tapestry. One of his original songs on the album, “At Last,” was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Original Composition category. Shelly will be creatively supported on this concert by bassist Carlitos Del Puerto and drummer Gary Novak.
