Kathleen Grace makes her Sam First return after a 3 year hiatus, with 2 shows celebrating the healing power of music. Kathleen Grace grew up in the West, its vistas etching an impression that would stay with the Tucson native as she traveled to the dry hills of Los Angeles. Forging a career that has sent her around the globe, Grace has performed on stages from the Montreux Jazz Festival and The Kennedy Center, to The Coachella and SXSW Music festivals. The diversity of her audience reflects her own boundary-less musical vision.

Grace’s sound bridges traditional and nostalgic with an approachable modernity, taking her jazz into the blues, folk and pop-leaning realms. He most recent release “Tie Me To You” features her jazz and songwriting collaboration with renowned pianist/organist and composer Larry Goldings. In describing the album, Pop Matters declared “In a world of over-stuffed composition and performances, this is a wonderfully restrained moment.”
