An emerging voice in the Los Angeles jazz community, Knowles embodies spontaneity and sensitivity as an improviser, accessing vulnerability across the ensemble as an essential musical cornerstone. His music has been touted as having “a gentle, comforting flow, a quality that holds in place even when volatility makes its presence felt.” Joining him are some of LA’s most profound young improvisers.
