Since first arriving in Los Angeles in 2014, trombonist and composer Jon Hatamiya has firmly established himself as a go-to creative and improvising musician, particularly on the trombone. Hatamiya's work as a sideman spans the breadth of LA's vast music scene.

Since first arriving in Los Angeles in 2014, trombonist and composer Jon Hatamiya has firmly established himself as a go-to creative and improvising musician, particularly on the trombone. Hatamiya's work as a sideman spans the breadth of LA's vast music scene, with performance and recording credits as wide ranging from Louis Cole, David Binney, Logan Kane, Luca Alemanno, Paul Cornish, and Jacob Mann, to Michael Bublé and Jason "Spicy G" Goldman.
While known more for his larger ensemble work as a bandleader in recent years (particularly his nonet, double guitar septet, and big band), Hatamiyapresents a return to his small group roots, bringing together some of his favorite creative voices of LA music for a new sextet project.
