Joe La Barbera’s energetic touch and masterful soloing has established him as not only a giant in, but a living master of jazz. Perhaps best known for his recordings and live performances with the trio of pianist Bill Evans in the final years of Evans' career, Joe La Barbera has been the choice drummer for jazz greats Woody Herman, Tony Bennett, Chuck Mangione and Joe Farrell among several others. Today, he remains one of the most in-demand drummers on the west coast, and is a regular on the Sam First stage.

Joe La Barbera and his quintet of 30 years recorded a live record at Sam First for our in-house record label, Sam First Records. Copies of the 180-G vinyl will be available for sale at the show.

All shows at Sam First are 21+ (no one under the age of 21 will be permitted)
