A Los Angeles-based saxophonist and composer known for his thoughtful improvisation and modern approach to jazz. A graduate of both the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and CalArts, he has performed with artists including Steve Lehman, Vardan Ovsepian, Matt Wilson, and the Jon Hatamiya Big Band. As both a bandleader and collaborator, Hayashi continues to establish himself as an emerging voice on the West Coast jazz scene.
