California native trumpeter and composer Ethan Chilton has performed as a bandleader and sideman across LA for nearly a decade. Ethan presents some of his newest quartet music influenced among other things by his study of counterpoint, love for the blues, and his search for a nimble, singing trumpet sound. Ethan has participated in many selective national and international jazz programs, including Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead at the Kennedy Center in 2023. He's performed professionally with Jason Moran, Remy LeBoeuf, Melissa Aldana, John Beasley, Louis Cole, Bob Mintzer, John Fogerty, and more. Ethan has released three albums under his own name as a performer, composer, and producer. He formerly worked full-time for tonebase trumpet, building a next generation online education platform for trumpeters. He has returned to full-time freelance teaching, playing, and composing.
