Daniel Szabo Trio feat. Joe La Barbera & Edwin Livingston

The Daniel Szabo Trio plays music that is energetic, playful, interactive and does not lack lyrical moments either. The trio features master jazz drummer Joe LaBarbera and Edwin Livingston, one of the most sought-after bassists of the West-Coast jazz scene. Szabo has a unique tone, showing multiple influences, including his Hungarian roots. He collaborated with Peter Erskine, Chris Potter and Kurt Rosenwinkel, among many others.  His latest record, "Visionary", was selected by JAZZIZ as “Best Albums of the Year 2019”, among such names as Brad Mehldau or Esperanza Spaulding. Invited by Chick Corea's management, Szabo was one of the three Corea-mentored pianists who performed Chick's jazz piano concerto, alongside John Patitucci and Dave Weckl at the Palace of Arts in Budapest. He was the winner of the ASCAP/Symphonic Jazz Orchestra Commissioning Prize; the Grand Prize of the City of Paris at the “Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Contest” and the “Jas Hennessy Solo Piano Competition” at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
