Daniel Szabo Trio

Pianist-composer Daniel Szabo has a unique tone, showing multiple influences, including his Central-Eastern-European roots. His trio music is energetic, playful, interactive and is not lacking in lyrical moments either. His trio was featured in the “Mellon Jazz Up” series hosted by Danilo Perez at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, sharing the stage with such artists as Lang Lang or the Wayne Shorter Quartet. In March of 2022, invited by Chick Corea's management, Szabo was one of three Corea-mentored pianists performing Chick's jazz piano concerto, alongside John Patitucci and Dave Weckl. He has toured worldwide and collaborated with Chris Potter, Peter Erskine and Kurt Rosenwinkel, among many others. His chamber jazz album, “Visionary”, was selected by JAZZIZ as the “Best Albums of the Year 2019”.
