Daniel Rotem Group

A vital member of the vibrant Los Angeles creative music community, saxophonist and composer Daniel Rotem returns to Sam First for a special night of musical celebration. His latest release, 'Wise One: Celebrating the Music of John Coltrane' is dedicated to the spiritual side of the music of John Coltrane, and features Billy Childs, Darek Oles, and Christian Euman. This night will feature a different side of Daniel's musical personality, focusing more on his original music from past releases like 'Serenading the Future' and from a couple of new, upcoming albums, yet to be released.

Growing up by the Mediterranean Sea, Daniel fell in love with the freedom and potential for expression and communication he found in creative music as a teenager. Currently based in Los Angeles, he released five albums up to date, and has recorded and performed with artists like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Terri Lyne Carrington, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Parker,  and many more.

All shows at Sam First are 21+ (no one under the age of 21 will be permitted)

Show Times: 7:30pm & 9:00pm, and a separate ticket is required for each show.
