Dahveed Behroozi Group with Billy Mohler & Damion Reid

Contemporary pianist and composer Dahveed Behroozi is a Bay Area based musician. His expansive palette comes from a wide array of places, New York, California, and endless areas of artistic presence. Inspired by his cross influence in jazz and classical music, Behroozi approaches improvisation as a form of musical composition. Pianist Fred Hersch describes his playing as, "intense, immersive, emotionally fulfilling and musically deep."

Dahveed just released his first solo album Standard Fare this past June, allowing him to showcase his own style and individuality through a new and fresh approach to well-recognized standards. Additionally, Dahveed currently serves on the music faculty at Gavilan College as well as San Jose State University.
