Since 1996, music has been Cosku’s inner soul that transforms his emotions into notes, rhythms, and melodies. Through music, he has been able to translate his inner world and write his own melodic stories with passion and harmony. Studying piano while earning his undergraduate degree in graphic design helped him integrate his musical talents with artistic capability, thus triggering his right brain to be even more creative and productive.

When Cosku first listened to jazz masters like Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, Aydin Esen, John Coltrane, and Charlie Hayden, he was only 12-years-old and living in Turkey. Growing up in a culturally and musically rich region, he has been exposed to both western and eastern music and influenced by various musicians, harmonies, genres, tunes, and ethnic melodies. At university, he founded his first jazz band and performed at many festivals. Since then, multi-instrumentalist Cosku Turhan, has been composing, constantly improving himself following the innovations of music and technology, arranging and producing his own jazz and electronic tunes.

His sounds and tunes range from classical music, to jazz, blues, electronic, and ethnic. He has created dozens of compositions which will later be released under several other chapters. Each chapter will present a unique story, concept, message, analogy, sound, and vibe. This way he will be able to reach out to more niche and also diverse audiences.

This multi-talented artist has been successfully managing and balancing jazz with his full-time career in visual effects and virtual reality since 2005.  Right after he earned his MFA from USC DADA Film School in 2007, he started working at Sony Pictures Imageworks. He was credited (as a senior lead technical director) on many million dollar Hollywood films such as the Oscar winner “Spider-Man Into the Metaverse”, “The Amazing Spiderman”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “Alice in Wonderland: Into the Looking Glass”, “Oz the Great and Powerful”, “Green Lantern” etc. Later in 2016, he decided to change his field a little bit and started working at Magnopus in Virtual Reality. He has worked on the VR experiences in "Coco", "The Lion King" and "Blade Runner: 2049 Memory Lab". He was a three times nominee to the VES (Visual Effects Society) Awards and one time to the Emmy Awards. In 2016, he was selected one of the forty most successful Turkish-Americans, who is under 40 years old in the USA. He is living in Los Angeles with his wife, Ceyla, and son, Ozan. In his free time, he loves spending time with his son and wife, discovering new things, making music and art together.
