Chris Lewis Quartet

Chris Lewis is an American saxophonist, composer and educator. Born in Uniondale, NY, Chris grew up playing music in church and school. He has had the opportunity to perform in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, working and recording with Eric Reed, Delfeayo Marsalis, Carl Allen, & Rodney Green, among others. Chris graduated from Temple University in May of 2018. While at Temple, he was blessed to study under Terell Stafford, Tim Warfield, Dick Oatts, John Swana, Ben Schachter and Tim Green while also immersing himself in the Philadelphia music scene, learning from those who inspired him on a daily basis. In February of 2018, he was accepted by a panel of Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ambrose Akinmusire and James Newton into the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance (previously the Thelonious Monk Institute) in Los Angeles, CA.
