Covell Album Release Show I'm excited to celebrate the release of Covell at Sam First on October 30, 2026, with Joe LaBarbera and Mark Turner. Earlier this year, the three of us played a one-off performance at Covell in Los Angeles. I brought in some new music for the trio, and we played it that night with no rehearsal—just keeping things loose, spontaneous, and fun. After the show, a few people asked if we had recorded the set and where they could get a copy. Unfortunately, we hadn't recorded a thing. But the music had a vibe. It felt like we had stumbled onto something worth documenting. I called Joe and Mark the next day and asked if they'd be up for making a record.
