Benjamin Shepherd Trio

Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, Benjamin J. Shepherd started playing bass when he was 7 years old. 11 years later he moved to Los Angeles to study at the California Institute of Arts (CalArts) and to pursue a full time music career. He has since performed and recorded on stage and in the studio with artists such as David Archuleta, Peter Erskine and the Dr. Um Band, Lee Ritenour, Mike Keneally, Mike Stern, Billy Childs, Patrice Rushen, Stokely Williams, John Beasley and MONKestra, Dave Weckl, Jeff Lorber, Chance The Rapper, School Boy Q, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Miguel Atwood Ferguson and many more..
