Alan Pasqua, a Steinway Artist, Grammy nominee, and Professor of Jazz Studies at USC’s Thornton School of Music, has performed and recorded with jazz legends such as Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, and Joe Henderson. After joining The New Tony Williams Lifetime in 1975, Pasqua moved to Los Angeles, expanding into rock and pop, working with Bob Dylan, Santana, Aretha Franklin, and Elton John, as well as composing for film and TV, including The Waterboy and the CBS Evening News theme. He also composed piano music for Bob Dylan’s Nobel Prize acceptance. His acclaimed jazz recordings include the Grammy-nominated Standards with Peter Erskine and Dave Carpenter, as well as solo and duo albums like Twin Bill, Northern Lights, Soliloquy, and Day Dream.
