Adam Hersh Quintet Plays Wayne Shorter's "High Life"

Pianist, Adam Hersh and his quintet will be playing Wayne Shorter's grammy award winning album, High Life, in its entirety, along with a selection of his ballads. Produced by Marcus Miller, this album featured a 30 piece orchestral ensemble in addition to electronic instruments. The compositions are harmonically dense and through composed, with rhythmic and melodic themes that are woven throughout. This masterpiece often references previous works in Shorter's catalogue, and has even inspired future works. Come experience the compositional genius of this enigmatic musician in a rare and comprehensive performance.
